Webcast Summary

Sales and use tax regulations had already been fraught with complexity before the U.S. Supreme Court's South Dakota v. Wayfair decision.

But in the wake of the June 2018 ruling, an unprecedented expansion of nexus throughout the U.S. is likely to bring about a proliferation of risks of audits and penalties for companies that fail to stay on top of the latest sales and use tax rules. To mitigate these risks, finance leaders will need to rely more than ever on automation to maintain audit trails, calculate taxes accurately, and improve the efficiency of their tax operations.

During this Webcast, we will discuss:

  • How states, as well as other taxing jurisdictions, are broadening nexus throughout the U.S.,
  • How to assess and mitigate your company's risk of noncompliance with sales and use tax regulations,
  • What finance leaders need to consider about implementing tax technology to improve compliance and reduce risks of audits when determining sales and use tax obligations, and
  • How to respond quickly, accurately, and cost-effectively if your company undergoes an audit.
