About the Speakers

Dan North, Chief Economist, Euler Hermes North America
Since 1996, Dan North has been with Euler Hermes, the world’s oldest and largest credit insurance company. As the company’s chief economist for North America, he uses macroeconomic and quantitative analyses to help manage Euler Hermes’ risk portfolio of more than $250 billion in annual trade transactions within the region. Prior to joining the company, Dan worked for Citicorp, using similar analyses to create outperforming investment strategies. Dan North earned his MBA from the Wharton School of Business.
As one of the leading U.S. economists, Dan North has appeared on CNBC, Fox Business News, ABC News Now, France 24, and Bloomberg Radio and Television. He has been quoted by USA Today, Barron's, Bloomberg Business Week, The Washington Post, Paris Le Monde, and The Wall Street Journal. After having predicted the 2008/2009 recession and its implications accurately, Dan North was ranked 4th on Bloomberg’s list of the 65 top economic forecasters in 2010.
James Daly, CEO, Head of Region, Euler Hermes Americas
James was named Head of Region for Euler Hermes Americas in 2015. James joined the Americas Region in January 2014 as Regional Head of Market Management, Commercial & Distribution (MMCD), where he focused on various customer centricity, product development and system initiatives, as well as sales and distribution enhancements in the region. Previously, James spent more than two at Euler Hermes’ corporate headquarters in France serving as Global Head of Sales and Distribution. Prior to that, he spent two years as Regional Head of MMCD in the Northern European region, one of the largest and most diversified regions in the Euler Hermes Group. He joined Euler Hermes in 2010, originally joining as Commercial Director for the UK. He has broad financial services experience from his time at Hertz Lease, Ford Motor Credit and ABN Amro. 
Anjan Roy, CFO, Global Finance, GE Corporate
Anjan has more than 19 years of global finance and operations experience. He is the CFO for GE's global finance organization, which comprises a diverse team of more than 4,000 employees and which encompasses controllership, tax, treasury, and financeial planning and analysis. In his prior roles with GE, he has led mergers and acquisitions operations; financial auditing and de-risking of balance sheets across multiple GE businesses; and supply chain and inventory management for GE Healthcare. Anjan is a graduate of GE's premier Corporate Audit Staff program and GE's Operations Management Leadership program. Anjan received his Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the Indian Indian Institute of Technology in Delhi. He is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt.
